HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE QUEENS FELLOWSHIP?

Each year, the application for the newest cohort of fellows is released in May here. It's a simple application accompanied by an essay, a letter of recommendation, and a letter stating your agency's commitment to your participation. Once your application is received, a staff member will be in touch about scheduling an interview.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Do you have Queens pride? Do you live, work, or pray in the borough? Do you have a stake in what happens in our neighborhoods?

If you answered yes, then you should most likely apply! We're looking for mid- to senior-level professionals at non-profit organizations, faith-based institutions, and other types of community organizations. We have also had folks from government and the private sector participate in the past. Our Fellows are bright, passionate, and ready to work; they love Queens, and want to make sure that the changes taking place are well thought-out and community-led.

WHAT ARE THE TIME COMMITMENTS FOR THE FELLOWSHIP?

The fellowship is a 10 month commitment consisting of two meetings per month; a four hour Skill-Building Seminar and a two hour Committee meeting. Click here for more information!

THIS PROGRAM SOUNDS GREAT... BUT I DON'T WORK IN QUEENS...

No worries! The Center for Community Leadership at JCRC-NY has great programs for the Bronx and Brooklyn too! We also have a city-wide fellowship for Jewish Communal Professionals.

WHEN WILL THE NEXT ONE QUEENS GRANT BE AVAILABLE?

Our grant cycle generally begins in February each year. You can expect the next announcement to be made at www.onequeens.org/grant in February 2015.
